I’ve been through the “nothing but the sides” phase. The “tofurkey” phase. The “fancy vegetable” phase…and now I’m in my “show me the protein” phase. And I absolutely cannot get enough of these maple miso tofu steaks. Each one is a half block of extra-firm tofu, clocking in at 28 grams of protein (your brand might have more or less but I use Sunrise) The marinade and glaze are one in the same, for less waste…and the warm, savoury maple miso flavour is not too sticky or sweet so it will go as well with gravy as it will with cranberry sauce. Or enjoy it all on it’s own as it is definitely flavourful enough! I can’t wait for you to try
Maya / plant-based food and recipes on Instagram: "Tofu noodles 🍜 Who would have thought you can turn tofu into noodles… or as I like to call them Tofoodles!🤭 RECIPE (1 serving, 25min prep time): -1 block (200g) firm tofu -75g flour -a pinch of salt Either crumbled the tofu in a bowl and knead with your hands until it forms a dough or blend in a food processor until it forms a dough. Divide into 10 pieces and roll into noodles (you should keep them shorter than I did cause mine broke while boiling). Bake at 190C/375F for 50mins.
