This original video was produced by Rick Lax Productions... | By Liz & Jeff | I will never go back to my old cheese dip recipe after learning this. You want to start with one brick of Pepper Jack cheese, one can of Rotel tomatoes, Next ingredient is one brick of Colby Jack cheese and if you don't have enough room in your cast iron skillet, just start breaking up these cheeses to make em fit. Next ingredient is one brick of Philadelphia cream cheese. And then one can of green chilies. Typically, they'll come in a smaller can. Okay, once all of your cheeses and the green chilies, rotel tomatoes are added. Last ingredient here, this is regular ground beef and I'm just going to throw in some original taco seasoning. So, we're just going to season this up, right? I already brown this before we started here. So, just use a skillet and you just want to brown up some ground beef. Also, could use some turkey meat or some chicken. Just whatever kind of protein you're feeling. Okay, once that's mixed, you just want to add it into your cheese skillet here. Little bit here. Little bit here and we're going to throw this into the oven at 350 degrees and this is going to come out so gooey, so delicious. The best queso dip you've ever had. Alright, are you ready to throw it in? Let's throw it in. Alright. Got my cast iron here. Alright, make sure if you have a little plastic edgy on your cast iron skillet, you want to take that off and then throw that in the oven. Okay so while our cheese is all melting in the oven there I'm going to go ahead and get my tortilla strips. These are corn tortillas. And I'm going to cut these into small little triangles. So one cut there. One cut there. Right? Do the other on the same side. One cut there. Alright and we're going to go ahead and make some homemade tortillas. Alright so once your oil this is just regular vegetable oil. Get a thermometer here. It needs to be at at least three fifty. It could be a little bit higher if you want but just make sure you don't burn them. And then you want to go ahead and dip these in. Let's go ahead and do two at a time. Ready? There they go. Oh, doesn't that look nice? Go ahead and get two more in. Okay, so you just want to give all of these a little blitzy blue. Get em all nice and crispy. Look at that. Homemade tortilla chips. So easy. Alright, once your chips are all nice and crispy, you can go ahead and plate em up. Just put some paper towels down to soak in all that oil there. Last one here. Look at those homemade tortilla chips. I couldn't believe how easy they were. So, we're just going to sprinkle a little bit of salt on top. Let those cool and get out our cheese dip. It should be ready now. Is it ready? Check it out right knittens on let's see it oh my goodness look at this cheesy queso dip my goodness Oh let's check this out. Oh I'm so excited to swirl this around. Okay so right now we have our Pepper Jack cheese. Colby Jack right here. We also have some cream cheese. Little bit of ground beef. Rotel tomatoes and don't forget about those green chilies. Alright let's go ahead and mix this. Wow. Oh my goodness. Look at all my goodness. Look how good this looks. Look how cheesy and amazing. Oh I already know for biting into it. It's going to be the best cheese dip I've ever had. And yeah forget about that Velveeta Rotel recipes. This is stepping up your game. And it's still just as easy as the old school recipe. Oh this is so good. Look at all that mixed together. That cheesiness. Alright. It's going to be way too hot to taste test. But I'm going to go ahead and get a little bite. Blow on it because I gotta I gotta try this out right? Let's go and get our homemade tortilla chips. Alright. Mmm delicious. Oh my gosh. Look at that. 8.7M views · 3.4K comments | Easy crockpot appetizer | Easy crockpot appetizer I make a spinach dip with rotel in my slow cooker. | By Justine Kameron | Alright, we're starting off with two bags of frozen spinach. Go ahead and flatten that out into our crockpot. Doesn't need to be, you know, totally breaking apart but if it's easy to break apart, go for it. Now, I have two cans of rotel and I didn't drain them right into our crockpot with that spinach. I have one block of cream cheese. Put right on top of that toe. And then a second block of cream cheese. Oh yeah. Perfect. So today we're making a yummy and easy dip in our crockpot. I have here two jalapenos that I diced up. Now if you don't like a lot of spice. You could add more green chilies but there are green chilies in the rotel. So you could just skip the jalapenos all together if you don't like things hot. But if you follow me you know I love some heat in there. Extra creamy. We're going to add one pound of sour cream. Just get that kind of half on one side and half on the other side. We're not going to mix this because it's kind of chunky already. We'll mix it once it starts melting but as long as we get it nice and spread out, this should cook nice and even. Oh my goodness, it smells so good. I love sour cream. Okay, get all of that deliciousness out of the container. Beautiful. Moment we've all been waiting for. We are coming in with two pounds of our sharp white cheddar. Now, I know that might seem a little crazy. I did hand shred all of this cheese but trust me, this is going to be the creamiest, cheesiest kind of, you know, spinach dip but with a little kick to it. I love to add the rotel, the jalapenos. Oh my goodness and this is an eight-quart crockpot. So, if you don't have a big crockpot like me, you're going to have to cut this recipe in half. Oh my goodness. It's going to be so delicious. White cheddar is one of my favorite cheeses. Extra cheese please. Yeah and the Tillamook is my favorite. You guys know that. I use that cheese all the time. Okay, now to add a little bit more, you know, flavor to this. We're going to add some minced garlic in there. You could use fresh if that's your style. Just go ahead and just get a few of these squeezes here and there. Remember, this is a big serving, okay? I'm having a party so I'm getting ready for that but you do not need to this much. Alright and then our next flavor add in is going to be some chili powder. Sprinkle that right on there. Now, you can season this to your liking. So, if you don't like chili powder, you can skip it. If you have a taco seasoning you want to add, go for it but I have a few things that I want to add in here that I really like with this dip and we're going to add some paprika. I just love the color this paprika brings. Oh my goodness. This paprika is not just for breakfast you guys. Okay. Nice little sprinkle of our seasoning. Of course, we're going to do some onion powder. I'm not going to do garlic powder because we already have that delicious garlic in there. Perfect. Now, our last but not least, a little bit of black pepper. Mmm. Guys, know I need to add pepper to everything. Okay, that looks beautiful. Now, like I said, we're not going to mix this because there's a lot of big things in there. It get a little too crazy trying to mix it. So, we're just going to pop our top on and we going to put this on high and let it cook so it can be ready for our Super Bowl party. Alright so it's only been 1 hour but we're going to do a midway stir. Let's go ahead and try to get everything a little bit more blended together. Oh my goodness. That cheese is starting to melt. The cream cheese has softened. That spinach. The rotel. Okay see now things are coming together. Oh the sour cream This is going to be delicious you guys. Okay. Get it one more good stir and then we will put this lid back on to let it finish cooking. Yum. Alright, you guys. So, it has been a total of two hours on high. Remember, we mixed it halfway and we're going to go ahead and pop this on warm and let's check it out. Smells so good you guys let's give it another mix oh my god it's perfect thick and delicious perfect for New Year's Eve party Super Bowl party or you know just football Sunday whatever you want to make this for it's going to be delicious now you could dip some bread in here some tortilla chips whatever chip you like I have these hearty dippers from Tosito's which looks amazing so we're going to give these a try because we want a big scoop. Oh my gosh. Look at that. It looks like a Frito. Okay. Alright I'll move a little bit over so I don't eat over the crockpot you guys. That's why. Is it good? Oh my gosh. That is really good. You guys. You have to make it right now.
