Feeling tight in your hips or low back? It’s probably your psoas screaming for help. 😫 Did you know it’s the only muscle that crosses from the low back all the way across to the hip? Enter the game-changer: a partner psoas massage! This is THE move to release that deep tension and finally feel some relief. 🙌

Here’s how to do it right:
1️⃣ Set Up: Have your partner lie on their back with knees bent, and find the spot ⅓ of the way from your hip bone (towards the belly button). 🎯
2️⃣ Apply Pressure: Have your partner take a deep breath while you slowly press down—this muscle is deep, so go slow and controlled. You’ll feel it. 😅
3️⃣ Breathe Through It: Have your partner take deep, slow breaths and Hip Adduction Exercises, Iliacus Muscle Release, Psoas Release Trigger Points, Psoas Massage, Psoas Exercises, Psoas Stretch Release, Decompress Spine, Screaming For Help, Hip Anatomy

This video from @instituteofhumananatomy highlights just how deeply this muscle is located. - 🔎Psoas major is the deepest core muscle and the only muscle that attaches the trunk to the lower limb. It runs from the vertebrae and discs of the low back (T12-L5) down to the lesser trochanter on the inside of the femur. This unique configuration allows psoas to possess the dual role of spinal stabilizer and hip flexor. - 🧠If you are experiencing pain in the low back, sacroiliac joint region or hip, it is worth your time to determine whether or not addressing your hip flexors may help. Kristen Bos | Doctor of Physical Therapy on Instagram: "Struggling with stubborn tightness in your hip flexors?? I often see people craving a good hip flexor stretch or searching to find a device that gets deep enough into the hip to release the hip flexor. However, these approaches only tend to offer short term relief as they are releasing a muscle that’s over working without addressing why that muscle started overworking in the first place! The result? That tightness will most likely come right back. For longer lasting relief it is much more effective to strengthen the muscles that help support the pelvis and hip that do the opposite movement of the hip flexor. This will help provide the body with the strength to maintain a posture that keeps the front of the hip in a more length Pulled Hip Flexor Muscle Relief, Yoga For Hip Flexors, Kristen Come Right Back, Hip Release Stretch, Hip Flexor Stretch For Pain, Stretches For Hip Flexors, Hip Stretches For Pain, Hip Flexor Pain, Osteoporosis Exercises
