How To Train Your Dog | Dog Training Tips on Instagram: "Struggling with your dog’s constant barking?

Try this unconventional but potentially effective technique:

🐾 The Can of Surprises: Use a can filled with a few coins or pebbles that makes a loud, unusual noise when shaken. This can serve as a novel auditory distraction that might interrupt and reduce barking.

🐾 How to Implement: Keep the can out of sight but within reach. When your dog starts barking, shake the can vigorously. The unexpected noise should catch your dog’s attention and momentarily stop the barking.

🐾 Why It Works: The sudden rattling sound diverts your dog’s focus from whatever is triggering their barking. The distraction resets their behavior momentarily, giving you an opportunity to redirect their attention to Dog Obedience, Dog Barking, Pet Training, Dog Dog, The Unexpected, Dog Training Tips, How To Train Your, Training Your Dog, A Novel

Sarah Hodgson on Instagram: "💡Here’s a lesson from my group class in Greenwich, CT on how to train your dog to pay attention to you and greet others calmly. What I’m doing here is offering Max a choice with the word “wait” as we get closer to other dogs and people. If he chooses to pay attention to me, I reward him by tossing him a treat. If he reacts or pulls towards them, I simply back out with no discipline or commands. 🐕If you practice this for a week, you will have a calm dog in no time! 🙌 Let’s keep those tails wagging and those minds engaged! - #dogtrainer #dogtraining #dogtrainingtips #puppytraining #puppytrainingtips #puppy #dog #dogbehavior #puppybehavior#puppytroubles #dogtroubles #anxiety #doganxiety" Mccann Dog Training, How To Train Your Dog To Be Calm, How To Calm Down A Hyper Puppy, How To Take Care Of A Dog, How To Train A Dog, How To Train Your Dog, How To Train A Puppy, Dogs Activities, Catahoula Puppies
