Simple Baked Cabbage
30min · 2 servings INGREDIENTS • ½ medium cabbage (about 2 lbs.) • 1 tbsp. garlic powder • 1 tbsp. paprika • 1 tsp. salt • 3 tbsp. plant-based or regular butter INSTRUCTIONS • Cut the cabbage into quarters, and then cut out the core. Slice each quarter and then cut it crosswise to create thin shreds of cabbage. • Place the cabbage shreds into a large mixing bowl, and add the paprika, garlic powder, and salt. Melt the butter and pour it over the other ingredients. Mix well. • Transfer the cabbage into a large baking tray. Using a wooden spoon or spatula, smooth the seasoned cabbage until it lays evenly across the pan. • Bake it for about 25 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit, or until it is cooked through and nicely roasted around the edges. Crispy Roasted Cabbage Steaks
A healthy, low carb, and delicious side dish for dinner. My favorite veggie to cook! Cabbage is not a vegetable that you tend to think of when it comes to dinner unless you’re making a salad, but it’s incredibly tender and yummy when baked in the oven. It complements just about anything from chicken and steak to bbq and seafood.
Roasted Cabbage Steaks
These Roasted Cabbage Steaks are super easy to make and oh so tasty. Because they are roasted, the cabbage leaves become very tender and absorb the flavors of the seasonings that are sprinkled on them before cooking. The outer leaves also take on a slight crispiness, which is a nice contrast to the tender center. This vegan dish is so yummy, and you can pair it with lots of other dishes to put together a full meal.
