How to Productively Rest
Productive rest involves mindfully recharging your body and mind through various types of rest, aligned with your current state and needs. These main categories include Physical Rest (sleep or nap), Mental Rest (meditation or journaling), Emotional Rest (expressing emotions or supportive conversations), Social Rest (quality time with loved ones), Intellectual Rest (like engaging in creative hobbies), Spiritual Rest (meditation), and Sensory Rest (turning off digital devices/notifications).
When I stopped caring about the material possessions I owned, and started valuing my overall health instead, my true values became very clear. I overworked myself into the state that I'm in now. So I don't care that I don't own a house, or a car, or all the things I had 20 years ago. None of that matters when you're 6 ft under. Nobody's going to remember you for any of that meaningless shit.
