It's Vanessa with Up and Growing and we're going to be making this cute cake kebab. You can use any sponges you'd like. I got these from the Dollar Tree and the Dollar General and I'm just going to line them up and cut them so they're all even. So, I'm just going to stack each one They do not have to be perfect. And then I'm going to cut the tip of a dowel so I have a nice sharp point so I can put a hole in the center of my sponges I want to get this all lined out before I glue or spackle anything just to make sure that they're pretty lined up and nothing is way off. I'm going to push the sponges out of my way and I'm going to hot glue a straw onto my dowel. I'm going to slide that bottom sponge down and I do want to add a little bit of glue but first, I want to line it out. I want to get my spacing right so that I still have a little bit of my dowel after I add my spackle. So, if you could see right at the top of my sponge on that blue one, there's a little bit of my doll exposed. So, now I know I'm good to glue it there and then I'm just going to start piping with my one-time red devil and I'm going to be using a one M piping tip. If you guys are not using spackle yet. I have done this with just puffy paint in between the layers of my sponges So, I'm just working my way up adding my spackle and then that sponge that I pushed down into the spackle will stick just fine. I don't need to keep adding any glue. You want to be sure I don't know if you guys saw that I went in between the sponge in the center that is touching the dowel and I pushed it down you don't want it to bow up in the center of the sponge see that where I'm going right there in between and pushing that down you don't want your sides to go down and then your center to be up this will keep it nice and straight Then you can finish off the top however you like. That's why I left that little piece of doll there. I do want to attach a Styrofoam egg. I had trimmed it down too much for something else. So just to salvage it. Uh I thought this would be the perfect design because it's going to sit right in that spackle. That is from Hobby Lobby. I have done these with donuts. They look so cute with donuts. I've done the sugar bunnies. You could put your gingerbread. Whatever you guys want to do. Lollipops. Whatever whatever you guys want to do. Everything is cute on these. And of course I'm going to finish it off with sprinkles. Just a little tip. If you guys are on the slower side because you're brand new to fake baking, I get it. We all start somewhere. If you feel like your spackle is drying up, I always keep a little spray bottle. You could spritz it with water and then your sprinkles will stick very nice. And then I just made a bow I'm going to hot glue it and then if you guys have little scrap pieces of sponge you can make a skinny one and then I added a little chick to the top I hope I've inspired you guys these are so fun to make and they look amazing in a shake any of your fake bakes you can just have them on your tiered tray Thanks guys.
