Skag Trendy (Indie/Garage)

Skag trendy is a slang term that has come into popular usage, mostly in the UK, around 2001–02 with the rise of London-based punk and indie bands such as The Libertines, along with American bands such as The Strokes. Other bands that have an influence include Babyshambles, Dirty Pretty Things, The Paddingtons, The View, and The Kooks. 'Skag Trendy' often includes the following pieces of clothing and accessories: skinny jeans, straw hats, vests, tight tee shirts, Fred Perry polo shirts, braces, flat caps, rosary beads, Converse trainers, pointy boots, long dark coats, sunglasses, purple t-shirts, single strap bags, and trilbies. Skag Trendy was the fifth song on Dundee-based band "The View"'s debut album Hats off to the Buskers.
