a statue of a man's head with beard and moustache
Detail of the Philosopher's head - with original inlaid eyes. I'm not a sculptor, but I'm pretty sure that anyone working in bronze or who knows anything about the process of casting in bronze would be highly impressed by this.
some ancient artifacts are on display in a glass case with other items behind it, including shoes and scarves
Assembled sections of what is known as "The Philosopher" bronze statue discovered on the wreck. 3rd Century BC
some rocks and stones are shown on a white background
Parts of the Antikythera mechanism - an incredible device believed to have been made around 87BC. Referred to as the world's oldest known analog computer - it's a complicated astronomical clock or "orrery". Amazing!
