One of my fave cost cutting tips for groceries is buying meat in bulk. When separating ground beef (or chicken or turkey), I weigh out portions and store in freezer bags. To make thawing quicker and storing easy, freeze ground meat flat. You can use your hands or a rolling pin to flatten meat to 1/2-1 inch thick in freezer safe bags.
