828K views · 40K reactions | Sometimes it’s a marathon, not a sprint. ☃️ I’ve seen several people making DIY snowmen using large disco balls and they are so cute! Disco balls aren’t really my holiday vibe though so I decided to put my own spin on this craft. I glued foam balls together and found that if I shaved the ends to make them flatter it was much easier to work with and the snowman was more stable. I used a large foam disc as the base. I glued the chunky yarn in a whimsical, effortless pattern and just swirled it all around. This is what took the longest and I used a lot of glue sticks. I added eyelash yarn to the body for even more texture. I made a cone using card stock then wrapped it in thin pale orange yarn. I found the poms on Etsy and decided to use them as buttons. The hat is actually a tree topper and I added berries and a snowflake ornament to give it some personality. This creation was actually so easy! It was just time consuming. 🙃 But, it’s projects like this that allow me to slow down, enjoy the process and embrace the season.
