Sara | DIY and Interiors on Instagram: "How much did our window seat IKEA hack cost? I thought it was about time to spill the bill on our window seat! Keep in mind this is a big window seat- about 9ft wide and 2ft deep so basically a massive 4-5 seater sofa! It’s given us loads of extra seating AND storage. Also my kids use it as soft play- the fanciest soft play I’ve seen 🤣! It’s safe to say I’m pretty obsessed and it was worth every penny. AND doing it ourselves saved us a lot of money. Here is the approximate breakdown- IKEA pieces- £220 Timber and materials- £100 Primer and paint- £40 approx (though we used leftover) Foam- £140 Fabric- £100 Total- £600 Moving our radiator was an additional cost for the radiator and plumber as well. Costs could definitely be conserved- IKEA pi
