Using household items create Window art for the kids to decorate. | By Mama Lo | Surprise the kids with this super fun window art using household items. Starting off with Elmer's glue. So just fill the bottom of a glass with some Elmer's glue. Then you're going to use some food coloring of choice. Just a few drops of each color. Then you'll need a little dish soap. Now this is going to be the least amount here. Just a couple drops. Mixed in with a paint brush. One you get that color mixed into the Elmer's glue, you can make as many different colors as you'd like depending on what art you are going to be creating. This is going to be so fun for the kids. Next, we're going to need a little plastic sleeve that you would find in a binder. We're going to paint some pictures right on top of it. So I'm going to go ahead and use my orange and paint little round pumpkins. And I'm going to put it on a little thicker so it is easy to get off later. I'm going to continue to do this step until I have as many little pumpkins as I'd like. The kids are going to have so much fun with this one. If your kids are 6 and older, they can probably do this themselves or at least with some supervision. If you have kids under six, I would say you could try watching them do this with supervision and just help them or do the artwork for them and they get the fun in peeling it off and decorating the window later. Now, I'm just adding some green stems so I made a separate green glue mixture so I could create some pumpkin stems. And making sure that green part is touching the orange part so that it all peels off together. I'm just going to repeat this step until they're all done. And now you're going to want to let them dry at least 20 to 30 minutes. You want it to be completely dry. And for the fun part, surprise the littles peeling off these window clings which stick right on to your window. They could decorate it however they'd like. You can make as many designs as desired. I have a four year old and a two year old and they had so much fun decorating the window. Easy and affordable activity. Diy window clings for the win. Have fun.
