If you have ever tried painting laminate furniture, you know that it’s not easy!

I encountered this while building my home office 🛠️

Given the scarcity of plywood at that time, I decided to go with an Ikea hack for my office.

The challenge was painting the numerous laminate cabinets I got!

I conducted an extensive experiment with different types of primers and paints and it was kind of fun 😊

I got the best results with a shellac based primer (Zinsser Bin) and Dixie’s Belle Slick Stick. (BTW, Slick Stick is no longer available, they have the Bonding Boss primer instead)

I tried both furniture paint and regular wall paint and the wall paint worked just fine!
