Nothing can really prepare you for being a mother, especially if you're a new mom. However, there are a few tips you can follow for how to be a good mom.

Being a mom is like running a marathon, but without the medals or the cheering crowds. Sometimes, it feels like I'm drowning in a sea of laundry, dishes, and endless demands. But then I remember that my kids are watching me. How I handle stress, how I express emotions, it all shapes who they become. So, I'm taking a deep breath and reminding myself that it's okay to not be perfect. It's okay to feel overwhelmed.

One of the reasons we exist is that a lot of the gifting energy surrounding the birth is targeted at the baby. While it’s lovely to receive baby clothes after your little one is born, receiving a gift as the mom – for you and about you – is extra meaningful. It’s a subtle reminder that you are not forgotten, and that people realize you need TLC after the baby is born, too.
