Frank’s RedHot Mild Buffalo Wings
Frank’s RedHot Mild Buffalo Wings are just flat-out some of the best I’ve ever had. This is the kind of sauce I’d serve at a get-together. Not only would I not have to worry about serving something too spicy for my guests, I’d know without a doubt that everyone would enjoy them. Fantastic classic Buffalo flavor in every single bite. This sauce makes for a great wing experience and is proof that not every Buffalo wing sauce has to be crazy hot.
Copycat Hooter’s Medium Buffalo Wings
This is it. The mountaintop. The best. Some of my all-time favorite restaurant chain wings, made at home. These copycat Hooter’s medium Buffalo wings were so good that my stomach is growling while I’m writing this post. The flashbacks are making me smile. And hungry. These wings have the perfect breading, the perfect ‘bite’. They’re cooked perfectly. The sauce is spicy, but not too spicy. It’s buttery. Buttery-finger-licking-good. I could eat a mountain of these wings.
Meijer Mango Habanero Wings
I admit, I might have been a little worried when I first opened a bottle of Meijer’s Mango Habanero wing sauce to take a taste. You don’t mess around with habaneros. As much as I’m a fan of spicy food, habaneros can actually just hurt. Well, my fears were unfounded because the heat is tamed perfectly by sweet mangoes. Yeah, oh yeah, there’s still a spicy kick, but it’s spot-on perfect. Like the other Meijer wing sauces I’ve tried, I found it to be perfect!
Wicked Sticky Wings
These wings are crazy good. Wicked heat. Sticky sweet. I made them crispy style on my Char-Broil Big Easy, but you can make them anyway you like, from smoking them to deep frying them. It’s the sauce that shines here, and boy is it messy great. Wicked sticky wings are called that for a reason.
Cholula Caliente Wings
These Cholula Caliente Wings are something special. Traditional Buffalo wing sauce needed a south-of-the-border twist, and this is it. Nicely spicy, it has a great combination of peppers that make for one of the best tasting sauces I’ve had. If you’re a fan of Cholula’s hot sauce, you’ll be an even bigger fan of this wing sauce.
Hidden Valley Ranch Buffalo Ranch Wings
If you’re not a fan of oven-cooked wings, these Hidden Valley Ranch Buffalo Ranch wings are definitely going to make a fan out of you and quick. They did me. I’m usually a fried wing kinda guy. But these wings not only came out juicy and crazy flavorful, the skins were perfectly crunchy to boot. These are very addicting wings and they’re so easy there’s no excuse to not make them. Often.
Dr Pepper Hot Wings
Not long ago I made some wonderful BBQ sauce made with Dr. Pepper. That got me thinking about how I could use Dr. Pepper with my favorite thing, chicken wings. And here they are, in all of their glory. Slightly sweet, slightly spicy, and oh-so-sticky good. The Dr. Pepper flavor isn’t real strong, but it’s there. The balance is perfect. These Dr Pepper hot wings are some mighty tasty wings.
Kosmos Q Seven Pepper Face Lift Dry Wings
You probably don’t need me to tell you that there’s a lot of pepper in this seasoning. Kosmos Q Seven Pepper Face Lift dry wings are crazy good, but I gotta warn you. It opens up with a kick. It’ll wake you up, but an instant later you get nothing but fantastic peppery flavor. I mean, really good. After a few bites I was all about that heat and pepper and couldn’t get enough. But I admit, that first kick was … a kick!
Crab Boil-Brined Wings
My oh my. I had no idea how fantastic these would be when I first came across this recipe for crab boil-brined wings. I thought, what if the crab boil is too strong? And what? A mayonnaise-based wing sauce? Isn’t that illegal? Well, color me wrong on both accounts because these wings were incredible. The crab boil flavor (one of my favorite tastes) is there, but it’s sort of just hanging around in the background. Very pleasant. The creamy mayonnaise basting and dipping sauce is truly outrageously great. It reminds me of the dressing for crab salad in a way.
Frederik’s By Meijer Creamy Jalapeno Wings
I have nothing but good things to say about every Meijer wing sauce I’ve had. Now sold under the name Frederik’s by Meijer, their sauces are always tasty, have the perfect consistency needed for wings, and can be had at a great price. The Frederik’s by Meijer creamy jalapeno wings sauce is no exception. It’s a lightly spicy sauce, and not too spicy in my opinion. The bottle says it’s ‘medium’ which I think is spot-on. There’s a slight hint of citrus and smokiness. It’s crazy creamy good. If ever there was a finger-licking good wing sauce, this is it.
Crispy Convection Oven Wings
Most of the time I make wings either on a charcoal grill using the Vortex insert, on my Char-Broil Big Easy, in an air fryer, or I deep fry them. But sometimes none of those options are available. That’s when I ‘fire up’ my convection oven. And you know, the wings are actually pretty darned good! Nothing will ever match deep frying wings in oil, but this is close enough when a deep fryer isn’t available. These crispy convection oven wings satisfy my wing craving just fine, thank you!
Great Value Medium Buffalo Wings
If you’ve been looking for a great, inexpensive store-bought Buffalo wing sauce that has just the right amount of kick but isn’t too spicy, the medium Buffalo wing sauce from Great Value (WalMart) is definitely the sauce for you. And me. Because I absolutely loved it. I decided to take a little break from hot wing sauces. This medium sauce definitely still satisfied my Buffalo wing craving without burning my mouth. It’s just barely spicy, and definitely very flavorful. Not overly vinegary. And the perfect consistency. I was really, really happy with it. This sauce is proof that you don’t have to spend a lot of money on a store sauce to get a good product.
Deep-Fried Dry Wings
Oh how I do love dry wings. Normally, that means ‘just’ seasoning wings hot out off the grill or out of the air-fryer. This time I decided to up my game and try deep-fried dry wings. There’s nothing fancy or complicated going on here. Just a simple coating with tons of flavor, fried until crispy golden, and tossed in more seasoning. Every bite is full of flavor. I love these wings.
G Hughes Sugar Free Thai Chili Wing Sauce
The days of thin, bland sugar free wing sauces have come to an end. G Hughes’ line of low carb sauces totally make you forget what’s not in them. I don’t even think of them as sugar free. I just think of them as great on wings. G Hughes Sugar Free Thai Chili Wing Sauce is no exception. I’ve had tons of Asian-inspired chili sauces, and this is a fantastic sauce no matter what.
Tacos Al Pastor Dry Wings
The flavor of tacos al pastor is one of my favorites. These tacos al pastor dry wings have that same great flavor without all the work. Paprika, chipotle powder, chili powder and a few other Mexican-inspired spices give the chicken wings a wonderful earthly flavor with a hint of smokiness and just a touch of heat. Sprinkled with cilantro and served with crema for dipping, these are great (easy) wings!
