Life was good, before I met the monster.
The evil was in my Father's eyes as he hit my Mother and called out lies to her. But I had never truly met the eyes of evil until I looked in the eyes of the man who had stabbed me in the stomach. Moments later though I looked into the eyes of Adaline and I saw something I had only ever dreamed of: love toward me. I opened my mouth to tell her something but only burning liquid ran from my mouth in waves.
