Resin skulls or organic materials work best, as the crystals sometimes have difficulty adhering to plastic items. However if using plastic, sanding it first with 120 grit sandpaper will help with adhesion. • Borax (3 tbsp per cup of boiling water). Lynzi Judish on Instagram: "These borax crystal skulls turned out so cool! I did these two years ago and I’m gearing up to experiment with some more spooky items this year.

Directions:
1. Dissolve a box of borax into your pot and bring to a boil. It’s black because I added some food coloring, but it didn’t work. I’m going to try a different kind this year.
2. Remove from heat and add your object. Make sure they are fully submerged and leave for 24 hours.
3. Use a tiny amount of hot water at the bottom of your pot to loosen your item. Then voila!

These are still covered in crystals two years later. They’re starting to come off toward the back and oxidizing. They’re also very delicate, but if you take care of them you can keep them long term. Keep out of direct sunlight. Regardless the Borax Crystals Diy Skull, Borax Crystals Diy, Spooky Items, Borax Crystals, Diy Skulls, Two Years Later, Crystal Skulls, Diy Crystals, Year 2

Stephen Brown on Instagram: "Crystalizing our Fabulous Fairy Thistle Thicket is only the beginning of what you can do with this magic Borax project. ✨🧚✨ I’ve been using this technique for years to create Christmas Ornaments and Geodes, but you can grow crystals on practically anything! ✨All you need is boiling water and Borax Powder. The item you’re wanting to crystal must be suspended in your solution without touching the sides or bottom of your container. The ratio is 3 Tablespoons of Borax for every cup of water. Let your item sit in the solution overnight or a minimum of eight hours before removing it. The longer it stays, the more crystals it grows!
