25K views · 101 reactions | I love to freeze my baked cookies because they are always on hand and ready. Just make sure you thaw them in the frig for a bit before placing on your counter or tray so condensation doesn’t build up in the pkg because of the drastic change in temperature. Frozen cookies thawed out taste absolutely delicious and actually develop their flavor a bit. Give it a try. #cookiesinabagbydanette #gourmetcookies #chocolatechipcookies #baking #dessert #holidaycookies #cookies #tips #bakery | Cookies in a bag by Danette

10K views · 1.7K reactions | 🛠️Fix it: Many cookiers will tell you this is "overmixed," but if you've been following my Royal Icing Science series, you know that is not necessarily the case. This is "over-aerated" and is has caused moisture loss. 📖This week in the FREE Royal Icing Science Series, we will specifically be talking about the key role of MOISTURE RETENTION in your icing. You can comment: RISCIENCE to get caught up ~or~ go check my highlights and current stories! As for fixing this, here is ONE way: 1️⃣ Add corn syrup or glucose syrup 2️⃣ If you are planning to add any gel food color, consider adding it now or at least adding in some white food coloring at this point 🤔But why can't you just add water? You can...but if you're trying to avoid OTHER Royal Icing issues that come up later on, you need to prioritize balancing the ingredients that HOLD that H2O. 😉 Please Share this with your cookie decorator friends, so they don't wind up stressed if this happens during the busy season! #cookiedecorating #holidaycookies #sugarcookies #royalicing #riscience Custom cookies, cutout cookies, royal icing recipe, sugar cookie marketing | Content Creation Cookbook

It’s great for a mess free, and great for a large piece of dough, or when you need to roll the dough very thin. . Unfortunately, I have yet to figure out how to remove the dough without cutting the bag, so It is something to keep in mind. . Also it can be washed and reused so no need to waste when done baking baking. Check my next reel. . What do you guys think? . I wish I had known this earlier in my baking career because this trick will help you prevent having a mediocre batch of cookies ever again. #cookiesinabagbydanette #dessert #baking #homemade #easyrecipes #tips #bakery #cookies | Cookies in a bag by Danette

22K views · 2.6K reactions | My top 2. Really. What are yours?! 1. How you hold your piping bag matters when decorating matters a great deal. If held in the middle of the bag, chances are you will force your icing out of the bag. You don’t want a mess! Plus you’ll also have less control of how much icing gets out. Instead, make a knot in your bag (or secure it with something like a clip) and place the bag in between your thumb and your index finger. Placing it there will help it stay in place. The other three fingers will help you push the icing out. The more pressure you apply the more icing will come out. This takes a bit of practice but you’ll see the world of difference this makes. 2. A perfectly round cut bag is super easy to do. The key is how you make the first cut. Locate the seam of your bag first and place it in such a way that it’s in the middle of the bag facing your ceiling. Then press the tip of your bag to flatten it and make a cut straight across. Start with a small cut. Cut more as needed. And yep, that simple. #royalicing #sugarcookies #cookiedecorating #decoratedcookies #royalicingcookies | The Cookie Box Club
