Security: We are losing more and more privacy as we continue down this path of the Internet Highway. With more use we feel more comfortable which is essentially contradictory to what we should be actually feeling
Airplanes: Travelling in the economic class for extended period of time is now much more enjoyable/entertaining than before. Now, experiencing the pain of listening to a crying baby for 10 hours, is a little better as you will be accommodated with a special 'baby prevention' package.
DNA Sequencing: We are now able to find out exactly what kind of genes that we carry and which of them will be expressed in our bodies. Consequently, we are also able to inject certain genes into the sequence of newly forming plants and animals, only to be followed by the creating of sequences for our children.
The E-Book : Libraries have become spaces to do work and study rather than collections of resources due to the emergence of E-books and other internet resources
Cell Phone Zombies: Teenagers these day are not capable of being away from their phones for an extended period time, unlike teenagers in the 1950's who had trouble leaving their friends house where they played with marbles
WiFi Here Signs: Are popping up just about everywhere today, from Tim Hortons to now even Airplanes are offering free WiFi services in order to accommodate the human need to be attached to the Social Networking World.
Drones: The way of the future are these flying robots. From postage delivery, down to the filming of many events, these drones are and will slowly take away the jobs of the every day man.
Speed: The meaning of high speed internet has changed from having a very strong phone line, now to essentially as much internet as you can pay for, and speeds that were completely unrealistic only 5 years ago.
The Computer: One of the most essential tools for a student/business person in functioning properly amidst this ever evolving modern world. From the Abbacus to the Macbook, who would've ever thought....
