Priorities: 1) organized 2) teen style 3) interests/science (but wants ceiling half space & half planes) 4) Use existing furniture, could change it up. 5) Can't be super labor intensive, time, money and resources limited 6) Bedding & curtains navy blue - keeping 7) Space for "HEROES" pictures of people who are important to him. 8) Have 8ft magnetic white board, want white board & magnet space, not 8 ft worth! 9) lighting to help not need closet light and overhead light on to go to sleep.

Sam's actual room makeover Material squares used to make the pillows. Stencils made with freezer paper on a silhouette. Ironed on the material, painted with acrylic paint, peeled off and then dry. Sew into pillow covers, stuff and sew down open end. My favorite piece of the whole thing.

Was curious if a desk could look good with a darker bottom half and a wood upper half. Have a laminate desk in a very light wash. Thinking of painting the bottom half a darkish green. Decided when I saw this it looks good. Like the black handle accent. Added to shopping list.
