ਅਹਿਸਾਸ-ਬਰਤਰੀ ਜਾਂ ਉੱਤਮਤਾ ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸ ਇੱਕ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਵਿਧੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੀ ਘਟੀਆ ਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਿੱਝਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਹੌਲੀ ਹੌਲੀ ਵਿਕਸਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। [1] ਇਹ ਸੰਕਲਪ ਅਲਫਰੈਡ ਐਡਲਰ (1870-1937) ਨੇ 1900 ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਵਿਅਕਤੀਗਤ ਮਨੋਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵਜੋਂ ਘੜਿਆ ਸੀ।
