5 - Any minor flaws don't matter to me. Technically amazing and emotionally resonant. Will rewatch on a rainy day. 4.5 - Amazing. The difference between a 4.5 and a 5 for me is emotional connection. Solid rewatch choice. 4.0 - Excellent movie, far above average. Might be a tad bored at some points but it's merits will outweigh those flaws. Recommend-to-a-friend zone. 3.5 - Pretty much an in-between zone. If I spent money on it I'd be content. 3.0 - A decent time, but if I spent money on it I'd be a bit disappointed. This is where I draw the line between mostly good and more bad. 2.5 - Flaws outweigh the merits. I was bored by this but there is something to the film that I can admire, whether that's cinematography or a specific actor. 2.0 - This could be ironically enjoyable, like The Room. But it's probably a bore and there isn't much to like. 1.5 - Potentially ironically enjoyable but technically awful, like Birdemic. But it's probably shit. Not worth your time. 1.0 - An example of what not to do when making a movie. You could make something technically better than this yourself with some effort. 0.5 - Impressively bad, I don't know how you could manage this. So boring you can't get ironic enjoyment out of it.
