Moreover it examines the main exhibition, communication and educational tools that the Jewish Museum of Greece implements in order to rescue, disseminate and promote the collective memory of the Greek Jews. A semi-structured interview with the Director of the Jewish Museum of Greece, Ms. Zanet Battinou has been carried out in addition to bibliographical research. One main conclusion is that the Jewish Museum of Greece is a tool for preserving and disseminating the collective memory of Greek Jews, not only with a view to the Jewish community but also to the wider community. In that way it actively contributes to the dissemination of the Jewish identity, tackling a traumatic past and promoting intercultural dialogue and reconciliation.
