100 strangers : 3/100 - Ian
https://flic.kr/p/rnhNTj | 100 strangers : 3/100 - Ian | Yesterday I went for a drive with Dave, Des & Damien (the 3D’s) to Co Clare. The first stop was Farone beach, then Doolin and then we rushed to the cliffs as we only had 40min to catch the sunset. When we got to the final location there were a few people looking down the cliffs and when we got closer, we noticed around 20 surfers below catching massive waves. They looked like little dots from that height. I met this guy coming up from below the cliffs walking on the very narrow trail (goat trail). His name is Ian (or Iain not sure of the spelling), and he was watching his pals surfing the waves. I asked him if he surfed too. He said “yes I do, in fact I was surfing this morning in Lahinch”. We spent a good 10 minutes chatting, he gave me a few tips where there are a few good spots for photography and also when the surfers coming to surf big waves. Lovely guy. At the end of our chat I asked him if he would mind if I take a shot of him. He said “Ok, but I’m not used to people taking pictures of me”.
