After struggling to find a venue in the US that spoke to them, Jessie and Nick happened upon Hacienda Tamchen while on vacation in Merida and it was perfect. "With guests coming from all over the world, we wanted our wedding to be an exciting vacation for everyone. We wanted the event to feel like an intimate backyard party that would allow for all of our friends and family to feel connected to each other and the unique architecture of the space."

To bring their modern Art Deco reception to life, the bride and groom chose timeless black and white elements, as well as clear architectural details including their seating chart with white printed lettering in a variety of contemporary fonts.
