Colorado City, (where Colorado Springs is now) was the capital of the Colorado territory - 1860

Grand Junction - parts of this town could be in a sci-fi movie due to it's landscape. I've heard it's a great place to retire to due to their climate.

The lit star at the top of The Rock that told you that you were half way home from the Springs.. Is it still lit? Used to climb up there all the time. Can't believe what Castle Rock looks like today, they are building one of the largest malls in the country there??? Remember how they suffered during the '65 Flood? Was shocked at the houses growing up the hills like mushrooms, one right next to the other around Castle Rock when I was home a couple of weeks ago
