STEP 1 After threading the bead create a loose simple knot. STEP 2 Insert the tip of the beading awl into the knot. STEP 3 Pull the longer section of cord so it pulls the beading awl towards the bead. STEP 4 Keep pulling the longer section of cord until the beading awl sits on top of the bead. STEP 5 While you are sliding the beading awl off using your fingers push the knot further down next to the bead. STEP 6 Remove the beading awl and push the knot so it sits flushed next to the bead.
