They are beautiful and practical, but more expensive. We used them in our main rooms…kitchen, hearth and living room transoms. Everywhere else we did vinyl. No one even notices & saves a ton of $$$.  TIP 2: Use individual windows and add trim to look like a window unit. The end result looks almost exactly the same and it’s so much less expensive.   TIP 3: Use static windows. These are windows that don’t open and they are less $. Unless you’re a person who opens their windows all the time this is a great option. We live in TX with tons of heat & bugs so I hardly ever open my windows.
