Kaitlin | Sass & Stitch on Instagram: "SAVE this for when you need it later! This is my tried and true method for wet-blocking your crochet work: 1.) Fill a bowl or sink with lukewarm water 2.) Add a squirt of wool wash. Wool wash has lanolin, which helps protect your fiber and keeps it soft! 3.) Fully submerge your work, gently agitate, and let soak for a few minutes 4.) Remove from water, squeeze out water, lay out a towel, and roll up your work in the towel to help remove excess water 5.) Lay out your work on foam block in mats (or a towel will work) 6.) Massage out your work to get straight edges. Use pins where necessary for the stitch pattern, but no need to overdo it. You’ll see that I did add pins to the bottom edge that was trying to roll up. 7.) Wait patiently 😅 for it to dr
Leslie | Knitter + Yarn Collector on Instagram: "I love blocking my sweaters so much and I’ll never shut up about it 🥰 After washing, aka letting my sweater soak in a tub of cool water + wool wash for at least 20 minutes, I run my sweaters through the Spin Only cycle of my washing machine for about 10 minutes. This gets out 90% of the water from the wash and helps my projects dry overnight! Then comes the fun part: laying it out to dry and setting all the stitches in their final resting places 🙏 I don’t always pin out my garments but for this sweater I realllllly wanted to make sure the ribbing sections were the same width as the other sections, and I wanted to try to gain some width overall in the body.
