Subodh Bhave... Ek Sashakta Abhineta, Ek Guni Kalakaar

Dear Subodh, It gives me great pleasure and utmost happiness to acknowledge and appreciate your immense contribution to the Marathi film industry. Feeling so happy today, to see you garnering the deserved accolades for the success which you have achieved through modesty and hard work. I have been following your work right from the Avantika days and I must say...the way you have forged your path is truly remarkable and worth appreciating. I loved the roles you portrayed in marathi serials like Avantika, kalat Nakalat, kulavadhu and in movies like Sakhi, Ek Daav Dhobi Pacchad, Sanai Choughade, Haapus, Lokmanya, Balgandharva, Savita Damodar Paranjpe, Hrudayantar, Katyar Kalajat Ghusli and now this Ani Dr.kashinath Ghanekar. I always enjoyed journeying with you to meet various personalities both fictional as well as real through your roles. May it be a serious movie or a light hearted one, You portrayed every single character with great finesse. The tremendous devotion, dedication and determination, which you exhibit towards your work is unparalleled. You proved through your hard work and commitment that ’Sky can never be the limit’! The only limitations are the ones you set in your mind. And today, due to your persistent efforts something so magnificent like Ani Dr.Kashinath Ghanekar could happen. Wow!! What a performance Subodh!! Kudos to your electrifying, mind blowing performance. Undoubtedly deserves a standing ovation with a huge round of applause!! The experience of meeting Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar through you was truly amazing and mesmerizing! It was indeed a creatively beautiful and beautifully created movie. Would love to share your thoughts which you had expressed before the release. So this is what Subodh said, ”When you are doing a biopic, naturally you tend to copy the person whose role you are portraying. But when I...got the role of Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar, I decided not to imitate him. I decided to look at the character as imaginary. So it became much simpler for me to portray an imaginary character. Further, he added, ”See when you try to imitate the person, apparently you get attached to all the superficial things like his style of acting, talking etc..But then, you don't reach to the soul of the character. And when you find the source(reach to the soul of the character) rest all feels superficial”. I deeply resonated with this beautiful thought. I seriously feel that a versatile actor always contributes a lot more than the mould which already exists. Feeling so...blessed to have you in our lives.
