WHIMSICAL SANTA WREATH | Whimsical Santa Wreath using the pancake wreath frame and a bowbacker from #decoexchange. Sound up for instructions ❤️💚❤️ #creativecoaching #0nawhimm... | By On A Whimm Wreaths and Decor by Dona | Come hang out with me for about six and a half minutes and we're going to create a really pretty wreath using the patent-pending pancake wreath frame from decoexchange. The first thing we're going to do is add in some mesh. I'm using the cruffle method. I'm using white and this really pretty red and green stripe for the outside. We will go all around the outer ring adding two cruffles to each tie. I'm kind of adding them in a crisscross pattern and we're just going to repeat that all the way around the bottom. Now, we're going into the inner ring. I'm using the same white and then a lime green. This is the same color green. This in the stripe of our red and green that we added to the outside. It's just kind of hard to see. We're going to do the same method and add in mesh all the way to the inner ring just like we did the outer ring. I always just try to make sure that my mesh looks kind of the way I want it to before I get all the way done. Sometimes, I take 'em out. I like to trim up any edges that are like already kind of maybe starting to fray and make sure that those are all tucked inside now we're finishing up that outer the inner ring sorry and you're going to see how pretty this turns out it's a really full nice base I'm using a bowbacker you can also get this from decoexchange you can use the link shop like Donna. com when you are in decoexchange just look in bowbacker and you will find that Santa Claus now we're going to create a bow think I'm using five different ribbons here again just going back in with all the same colors from the mesh and then adding in a little black and white and that inspiration came from Santa I'm just making sure that each loop is slightly smaller than the loop behind it. Just to create a really nice fluffy bow adding a little loop there in the middle. Now, we're going to zip tie that all together and now, we can add it to our bowbacker. The bowbacker is literally a beautiful sign that's got a place to add your bow on. So, it really makes bow placement super simple, and takes a guess work out of it. I'm using a zip tie to add mine. You can use wire or Chanel stems just whatever you like. I prefer the zip tie method just because it gets it a lot tighter. Okay. So, we're getting our bow all fluffed out. Once it's on my bowbacker, I do try to get it fluffed out and then, I start cutting down the tails. So, you can see, I left the tails cascading down the side a little bit longer Now, we're going to add in some florals, some picks and some sprays along the outside edge of our wreath frame. So, what I do here is I untwist the tie that I twisted in the mesh with. I untwist it and I add in each little pick spray, whatever you want to add to your wreath. This is the way I add mine. So, I untie it. I tie it back in you. And then, I do add some glue in here. I don't know if you see that on camera but I do add glue to each little tie just to make sure everything is nice and secure in there but I typically just do it all at one time. I'm alternating my pattern around this wreath. So, in one tie, I have red berries and greenery. In another tie, I have filler flower, red my little Curly Q pick and some evergreen, a little evergreen spray. I alternate those all the way around. So, you need four of each thing. Now, I'm adding in little kind of little small ribbon tails. I call it like a funky tail, a one-loop bow. I'm adding that all the way around the inside of this pancake wreath frame. So, the outsides, all the florals and the picks and the sprays. On the inside, I'm adding in ribbon tails and then, in the middle of each of those ribbon tails, I'm going to add in some evergreen. Just a little drapey, pretty evergreen just to cover up the middle of that so you can't see the tie. And that's what I'm doing right here. I'm actually cutting that evergreen off of a cartland. And now, I'm just glue making sure everything is glued in and looking super nice. This wreath turns out so super cute. Everything on here is very secure. If you're somebody who traditionally uses a wire frame to create wreaths like this, I highly recommend grabbing the pancake wreath frame. You can grab all these supplies at shop like Donna. com.
