Add 2 swivel, comfy chairs to watch movies & entertain. 4. Keeping oak trim and cream burber carpet: has the beach sand coloring, 5. maybe change the light fixture at the bottom of stairs. 6. Paint walls a bright white. Down stairs is currently too dark, walls and furniture looks like an old cabin man cave.
