so i'm watching Leverage for the first time and there's a lot to love. anyway im on the last episodes of the first season and dear lord are they putting Nate through it. back to back, they forced him through rehab (it wasn't even for his sake, it was just a backdrop for the con and it was so so bad for him) and then they brought in his ex-wife???
im still not over the rehab thing. he started hallucinating his insurance agent nemesis. he was in pain and horribly stressed. obviously he needs help. but going cold turkey also obviously made things worse, enough so that by the next episode the others felt sure that he was reaching some point of no return
you literally can't force someone to get better if they don't want to. that's not how it works.
and then his ex-wife flirted with him
NO NOT THE OFFICE
you are telling me. that after everything went up in smoke, after all their identities got burned, after they all agreed to scatter to the wind--every last one of these fools came back independently to finish this job.
oh it's been three months. oh they're all pissed at each other fr. oh they're back to saying they don't trust each other.
sophie reminding nate to keep the "ex" front and center when talking about his ex-wife. like, girl. i don't think you're in a position to be giving out advice right now.
somebody help this man. his ex-wife is “unknowingly” roasting him and their marriage in front of the whole team like it’s her last ticket into heaven.
i haven’t slept well in over a week. but i’m finishing this finale
