Making a smiling plate with Henry Holland in his East London ceramic studio.
This ceramic plate is inspired by the iconic 4AM rug that we made in collaboration with Henry Holland Studio. The rug itself was a translation of the ceramic process of layering slabs of clay and then moulding, giving the lines their wiggly, melting aesthetic. These craft techniques were then translated into the technique of hand tufting. Each tufted rug is hand tufted in India. Check out our collection via the link.

The iconic I Feel Love rug by Henry Holland paired with the Oatmeal Ceramic collection. East London rug company FLOOR_STORY has collaborated with Henry Holland, on a series of rugs integrating bold patterns and classic rave iconography, including smiley faces and psychedelic-style patterns. The striking pieces more than allude to ‘out of mind’ experiences with irregular shaping and runners which seems to melt into the surroundings. More muted tones allow for integration into various interior settings; the more striking designs make for wonderfully unexpected statement rugs. Custom options available (size & colour)
