Dr. Neera Nathan on Instagram: "There is ONE product that can treat acne, post-acne marks, redness, rosacea, perioral dermatitis, melasma and hyperpigmentation - and it’s not a retinoid.

Azelaic acid is probably the most underrated, highly versatile skincare active thanks to its anti-inflammatory and pigment-reducing properties. It naturally occurs in grains and is available in a number of over the counter skin care products at a 10% concentration (it comes in higher strengths as a prescription).

To use, apply a thin layer twice daily. Follow with sunscreen in the AM and moisturizer at night. If you have sensitive skin, limit use to once daily.

Zion Ko Lamm on Instagram: "this is probably one of my top five skincare hacks of all time. Afrin’s active ingredient, oxymetazoline, has vasoconstrictive properties which can temporarily help reduce redness and flushing associated with rosacea by narrowing the dilated vessels under the skin. There is a prescription strength version that is more potent and skin-friendly but when you’re in a bind… give it a try! FYI: this hack would be best for the mild flushing/redness type of rosacea called “Erythematotelangiectatic Rosacea” (not papulopustular/acne like, ocular, or phymatous/thickening types) #skincaretips #beautyhacks #blush #rosacea" Redness Reducing Skin Care, Head Shoulders Knees And Toes, Forehead Acne, Skincare Hacks, Under The Skin, Weights Workout, Active Ingredient, Skin Care Tips, All About Time
