Outer mitten knit with a more rustic worsted weight yarn using US 7 needles. Inner liner knit with a super soft alpaca DK yarn with US 5 needles. With heavy use, especially with kids, the outer yarn will felt slightly and become even warmer. This is my favorite way to knit super warm mittens that aren't too itchy.
