But as I researched, saw photos online, read horror stories, and saw images of chipped, scratched, dented, discolored soapstone… my heart sank. I appreciate patina… but this seemed to go beyond that. I understand there are some soapstones that hold up better than others, but still… I didn’t want to have to potentially worry or fuss over my countertops that much.
