Drawing the panelling on the wall is to use as a guide and to make sure you’ve measured everything correctly. 2. Make sure your first panelling along the bottom is bang on straight. If not it could set all of the rest of the panelling out. 3. I find by placing the vertical panels on the wall with frog tape gives me the peace of mind that if the top horizontal panelling isn’t straight I can still then amend the vertical panels. Will you be DIYing this weekend? All pre-cut mdf I bought from my local wood merchants @arbortimber. This mdf is 6mms thick and 8cms wide. Below are the measurement for my hallway wall panelling project: 1️⃣ The Dedo rail is 95cm from the top of the skirting board 2️⃣ The panelling on either side of the radiator are the same size, they are 41cm wide x 70.5cm high. The panelling around the radiator is 117.5cm wide x 70.5cm high 3️⃣ All the gaps (gaps between each panelling box; the gap between the dedo rail and panelling box; the gap between the bottom panelling panel and the skirting board; and the gap between the panelling box and the wall) are 9.8cm wide. They come with a box full of the tricks of the trade to help with fitting 👏even a chocolate bar which was perfect halfway through 😋we decided on the shaker kit with shelf which also comes with shelf brackets if you prefer 🥰 We are now totally in love with this wall and want to do the whole house now too 🙈🤣 What do you think?
