Stir Stick Craft | Stir Stick Craft | By We Craft Around | Hi everybody. It's Beth. I'm using this napkin I got from Timu. Part of this hanger from Dollar Tree and some stir sticks. I took seven stir sticks and I lied them with the back facing up. And cut these giant craftsticks that I got from Walmart down with some fisker shears. Just wide enough so they will fit across the stir sticks. And then hot glue them into place. I then paint the stir sticks with butter, pecan, acrylic paint by Folkart giving it two coats. I set that aside and then I take part of this sign that is from Dollar Tree. It comes in a three-piece hanger. I had one of these pieces left over. So, what I do is I'm just taking some spackling and filling in those holes from the staples and wiping off the excess with a baby wipe because I'll be using the back of the hanger. I then take Mod Podge and apply a generous layer to the back of that and dry it completely. Once that's I take my napkin and I cut the section that I want to use and remove the second layer from it. I place that down and then take some parchment paper and place that over it and use my travel iron to heat that image onto my hanger. It reactivates the Mod Podge and seals it on. I then take some more Mod Podge and I'm just applying it to all around the edges and then placing the napkin down on that edge as well. I dry that completely and then sand off the excess napkin. Once all the excess napkin is removed, I do a second layer of Mod Podge on top of the image using my heating tool to dry that one. Next I move back to my stir sticks. I'm taking this one and a half inch ribbon. And I'm folding it and tucking a piece in through the little slots between the stir sticks. The little indent there. And I leave a little bit left over on the edge because I'll be folding that and gluing it down in the back. I then make like a little bubble. And fold the ribbon again. Tucking it through the little indent again and I just do this all the way across making sure to leave a little bubble so it's ruffled up a little before I'm folding the ribbon and tucking it in. Once I have that all complete, I cut some excess ribbon that's on the edge and then hot glue that down and I'm pinching the edge of it so it is ruffled like the rest and I'm just hot gluing each of the little sets down. Next I take the image and hug glue the back of that sign and place it down on the stairsticks towards the bottom. Maybe about an inch from the bottom. And then wanted to make a messy bow. So I'm just taking different size ribbons. And I pinch them in the center and then make a X in my hands. I used four of each of the ribbons I'm using. And I'm using four different ribbons. Two of them are one and a half inch. It does not matter if they're wired or not. If you have two and a half inch ribbon, I sometimes cut it in half and use those pieces. So I'm just alternating, keeping it nice and tight in the center until I have it completely filled in with all my ribbons and then I take twine and tie that around the center where I'm holding it. Keeping it nice and tight and make a couple of knots and cut off the excess twine. And then spread apart the ribbons to make it nice and full all the way around. And then I trim up some of the ribbons because it was a little bit too long. And then just spread out the ribbons again. Making it nice and full and I always spread them apart and kind of pull them upward. Then hot glue it to the top left of my hanger. And that's it for this project. Thank you so much for watching.

Dollar Tree Valentines Frame | By Creating Through Chaos | Hey everybody it's Janice with Creating Through Chaos and we're going to start this project off with this frame from Dollar Tree and I'm just going to pull out all of the insides and the glass. And then I am going to take my antique wax and I am going to stain the whole frame. And I made sure that I got really good inside all the little beading around the edges of the frame. So I'm just using a paint brush. Put it on kind of thick and then I'm just going to wipe it all off with the baby wipe when I am done. And I'm using the brush to be able to get in between all of those beads. So once I had that all done I set it aside to dry and I had these little I don't know they're cups. And I think they were from Dollar Tree but I have bought a whole bag of them at a thrift store. And I think they used to have succulents in them and they were used to be magnets. But I'm not 100% sure. But there was a whole bag of these like little planter cups. And I bought them at a thrift store for a dollar and I knew I could use them on some projects. So I'm going to use one on this. And I'm going to cover it in the colour pink. I just a couple of quick coats of pink on that and then I'm going to set that aside to dry. Now I'm going to take the glass from the frame and I'm going to put it on this scrap of paper from Hobby Lobby and line it up so that it's even and then trace around and then cut it out. And I'm actually going to mod podge this right onto the glass because the back of this frame was really flimsy for what I wanted to do. So I wanted to be able to have the glass be my you know security and the good part of holding what I want it to do. So I'm just trimming that up. Making sure that I get it all nice and even. And then I am going to mod podge that right to the glass. And I got a little bit of red paint on that but that's okay. Wiped it off and all is good. So like I said I'm just going to mod podge this right to the glass. So I'm just going to add this Mod Podge right on top and then put the paper on. And so once I have a good coat on I'm just going to put the paper on there and then just smooth it out. And then I am going to set that aside also. And I'm going to let that dry. So everything's kind of just drying and in processes of drying while I'm doing this. So once I got those two things painted my frame was dry. So now I'm going to paint this with the same coloured pink that I just did on the little cup. So I'm just going to go around making sure I get in between all of those little beads again. And this is just a really light coloured pink. And I ended up doing two coats over this. I made sure that I got it fully covered but I'm also not too worried about getting an absolute full coverage because I am going to sand most of it back off. So once I had it all painted with the two coats as you can see I am going to come back through and just sand off the majority of that. I just needed the two coats to make that pink really pop because the dark of the wax was so dark that the pink started looking like a brown. So I made sure I did two coats so that that would happen. And now I'm just kind of going through and sanding off in different spots all over the frame to give it that rustic look and to pull some of that antique wax back through. So I run around and did it all on the beads, on the edges of the beads, on all the edges of the frame and just kept going until I liked the look. And as you can see I made it look really rustic. Now I'm going to put that glass back in. And then I ended up putting the backing back on with the stand also. Now we're going to be working on this little cup which I antique wax which I didn't get on camera. And now I'm going to this ribbon to the center of it. I'm just hot gluing it into place and I did just put a little bit of antique wax around the edges of this little container and I wiped it off with a baby wipe so it was just very subtle. Then just glue all of that on. And then I'm just going to cut off the excess. On either side. And then I had this little heart. It's like a really tiny heart. And I'm just going to antique wax that. So I just had some on a baby wipe and then I am just going to wipe off all the excess. And then I'm going to glue that right to the front of this little cup. And once I had that all set I'm going to glue this little cup right to the center bottom of this frame. So I'm just going to kind of leave a little bit of room at the bottom. And then glue it in. So once I had that all glued in I'm going to take some Spanish moss and fill up my little cup. And then I'm going to add some greenery and some florals. I got this greenery and the florals at Hobby Lobby. The greenery is from the greenery section and the little roses they are from the his and her collection from the wedding section of Hottie Lobby. And it was just a tiny pick and I just cut off the little roses off of that. And now I'm just going to kind of arrange this how I want it to look. Just popping these in. And then I kind of tack glued them in place afterwards. And I think this turned out so super cute. I love the shabby chic look of it. I love the look that this could be left out year round. I think it has a very romantic and spring vibe. Thank you for watching. Hope you enjoyed this video and as always don't forget to spread the chaos.

Spring Bird Shelf Sitter | Spring Bird Shelf Sitter | By Creating Through Chaos | Hey everybody it's Dance with Creating the Chaos. I'm going to start this project off with this piece of wood that I got at Dollar Tree. I am going to take and mark off a part of it with masking tape. I left about two inches on one side. And I'm just going to put the masking tape down. You can use painter's tape if you have it. I just didn't have any on hand. And then I'm going to paint that one half with this antique white color. And I'm just going to do the whole thing and then I'm also going to do the sides and I did do the back but I didn't do that on camera. Just make sure that I get all my edges all done. Once I have that all painted and it's dry, I am going to tape it off again over the white and then I'm going to paint it with this celery green color and again, I'm just going to paint the front and the sides on this. I did do the whole back with just the white. I didn't put the green on the back. Making sure that I get those edges again. Trying not to get any onto the back. And then I'm just going to let that dry and then pull up the tape. So once I have the tape pulled up. You can see I have a nice good line. I am going to take this napkin. And this is part of my mystery napkin bundle on my shop and then I also had it as part of my spring napkin set. And I just use a couple pieces of tape to pull off the plies. Then I'm going to which side of the napkin that I want to use and I'm going to kind of get an idea of where I want it and then I am going to pull this off and I'm going to put a good coat of Mod Podge onto just the white part And then I'm just going to let that Mod Podge fully dry. I'm going to make sure that I don't get any on the green. And I didn't get any on the edges. I'm just going to go right along that line there. Making sure that I don't get any on the green and making sure that this is all nice and level on there and I don't have too much. I'm going to fully let that dry. Once it's dry, I'm going to take my napkin and I'm going to lay it back down where I wanted it Kind of adjusting it to make sure that it's covering all of the white. And that I'm not cutting off any of the wording that I want or the birds. And then I'm going to take a piece of parchment paper. I'm going to lay that on and then I'm just going to iron this right down. Making sure that it's fully attached with the iron and I go over it quite a bit just to make sure I don't want it to peel back up And the edges are always what you want to worry about. So you just take it off. Check it. It will be hot so just be careful. And then once I have that all on there I'm going to take my sander and just sand off the excess. And I'm being very careful not to rip my napkin. And just go all the way around And I absolutely love this napkin. The design on it is so pretty. I love all the colors in it. So, once I have the napkin off, I'm also just going to kind of sand around the whole thing. Just sand all these edges, making sure that all that napkins off. I'm also going to sand the green area too just along the edges. Not a whole lot but just a little bit. And I got a little bit of Mod Podge on that green part. So I just took a baby wipe and wipe that off after. Now that I have that all sanded I'm going to take the stencils that I got at I believe it was Walmart. And I'm going to take this one design and I'm going to lay it on this green part right here. And get it all situated how I want it. Make sure that it's centered. And then I'm just going to take the same white paint that I painted underneath the napkin and the sides with and just put this design right onto this green part. Just kind of go up and around. And I'm going really slow. I haven't reloaded my pouncer at all. Less is more when you're stenciling so you want to make sure and I'm going over all of the same spots a few times just to make sure I get the darkness that I want. And there it is with the design on it. Next I'm going to take this Duraclear satin finish. And I got this at Hobby Lobby. And I'm just going to put a coat of that over the stenciling and all over the napkin. And I'm doing this just to make sure that everything is sealed. I also did the back and the sides. And this is just basically a clear coat. Just to protect everything. And I want to make sure I'm putting this on even. And I used a really really soft bristle brush to apply all of this so that there isn't a lot of lines. And then it goes on smoothly and I'm not ripping up the napkin. And then I'm just going to let that fully dry Once that's all fully dry, I'm going to take this ribbon and it's like a window pane ribbon made out of burlap and I'm going to put that right in between that white part. Well, the napkin and the green part. And then I'm just going to cut off the excess. So I'm just going to run that strip right there. And then I'm going to cut off the excess. And then I'm going to take this button ribbon that I had from Hobby Lobby. And I'm going to glue that right on top of that burlap ribbon. Just lay that right down. And then glue that into place. And then just again cut off the excess from that also. And then I had this bucket of handles that I bought. They're just kitchen drawer poles or any sort of drawer pole. And I'm just going to put a little bit of super glue and then some hot glue on the backside of it. And then I'm just going to put that right on the top. And that is it. This project is done. I think this turned out so super cute and I love the handle as the final touch. I think it turned out awesome. My husband says it looks like a suitcase and I kind of agree. I think it turned out absolutely adorable. Thank you for watching. I hope you enjoy this project. I hope it inspires you to make one and as always don't forget to spread the chaos.
