Katie Larimore on Instagram: "Fall-in-love pecan tarts ❤️ Cream cheese pastry: - 1 cup unsifted flour - 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened) - 3 ounces cream cheese (softened) - 1/4 tsp salt Pecan filling: - 1 egg (slightly beaten) - 1/2 cup Lyle’s golden syrup or dark corn syrup - 1/3 cup dark brown sugar (firmly packed) - 2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted) - 1 tsp vanilla - Pinch salt - 1 cup chopped pecans (4 ounces) 1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Blend together pastry ingredients until you have a dough. Press and shape in mini muffin tins. Work all the way up the sides and try to keep it thick enough so the filling can’t get through. 3. Mix all the filling ingredients together, then spoon mixture into pastry-lined tins coming almost all the way to the top of the pastry. 4. Bake for 25-30 m

You will need: 3/4 cup toasted pecans chopped roughly 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 1/2 tbsp butter melted or room temperature 1/4 cup dark brown sugar 1/4 cup light brown sugar 1 roll refrigerated pie crust @pillsbury Chocolate chips/ optional Preparation: Toast the pecans and let them cool completely. Chop roughly and set aside. In a clean bowl whisk the egg, vanilla then add the butter and sugars . Add the pecans and the filling is ready. Unroll the pie crust and cut circles to fit the mini muffin tin, load with the filling and bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until crust is golden.
