A visit to the thousand-year Angle Oaks in the morning sun on John’s Island is a pilgrimage! The gnarly branches twisting and coiling over the ground covered in dark green moss looked like cozy bunk beds that could sleep a schoolhouse of kids! Soaking in the presence of its years of being rooted and still standing tall…what if undertaking the task of making fallow urban neighborhoods tree-lined again with pop up nurseries might be a way to activate neighborhoods?!
