For her birthday, Fairy Godmother Charlotte gives Tracy a night of luxury and pampering at the Royal Palace Hotel. And when Celia, the evil stepmother in this tale, insists that she doesn't have time to take advantage of the generous gift, Tracy redoubles her efforts to make sure she can go. After arranging for Mona to stay all night with Danny, Tracy meets Charlotte and Doug for dinner to begin her luxurious evening. But having just come from a counseling session, Charlotte and Doug are not the best of company. And when Tracy tries to call home and check on her son, Charlotte distracts her by pointing out a handsome man watching from the bar. Although she's nervous to see her Prince Charming approach, Tracy holds it together long enough to meet Vince Arming. Once Charlotte and Doug make a hasty departure, Tracy and Vince are left alone to enjoy the evening. Yet, a phone call from Mona warning that Danny has the slightest of fevers sends Tracy home.
