The first: Love-sick Duke Orsino is hopelessly in love with the indifferent Lady Olivia. He orders the cross-dresser Cesario to plead with Olivia on his behalf. But, Cesario is actually a woman in disguise, named Viola, who is in love with the Duke. In his pursuit to convince the Lady, thanks to his charm, Olivia falls for Cesario instead, and thus follows a bitter-sweet chain of events.
