In a perfect world where everyone follows that same rule, it shouldn't be a problem to "just be nice with others, as nice as you are with yourself". But the reality is that because of that statement I let a lot of people step over me and get things that I really wanted. What happens when others are no taught as I was? What happens then if there are children taught to respond with a punches if other kids hit them? What if parents teach their children they must speak louder and be meaner to rule over others?
