Seeing an unattended bicycle, he annexes it and rides away. The owner summons the police, and together they go off in pursuit. Whilst in full cry they run into a wedding party, whom the police squander in all directions. Tontolini on his way upsets a nursemaid and has a spill. He is soon on his bicycle again and off with the police, wedding party, and a huge crowd in pursuit. He leads them into all kinds of scrapes, and finally rides through a lake, and leaves the whole of his pursuers floundering in the water, and he gets safely away. Written by
