Maud decides to go home and await his arrival, but she discovers it could be a long day ahead of her as Arnie decides to track down stars and a director to make his first picture. Among them is Corky Brown, an alcoholic comedian always suspicious of his young wife Cora's friendships with her leading men, and his agent Max Legendre, an ambitious but pretentious director who proves a shrewd operator in contract negotiations. Then there are the Brewer family, who rely on their child star daughter Dotty for their career. But Dotty is no longer a child, while her older sister Clara has secret ambitions of her own. See less
