He tries to hide his splintered relationship with his father from his six-year-old son, Jackson, but Jonas's return to his childhood home raises difficult memories that make a reconciliation impossible. Jackson is caught between his father and grandfather, trying to piece together clues about this relationship through relics in the grandfather's house. The grandfather, all but given up on his son, reaches out to his grandson in an attempt to make amends for the past.
