Mari Lynn heads to the hospital, leaving Audrey to change for her date with Jon, but as soon as Mari Lynn is gone, Blade creeps in and puts his hand over Audrey's mouth to stop her from screaming. Blade claims he's being framed for smuggling drugs and asks her for help hiding out for a bit. She sends him away but when he nearly collapses, Audrey realizes Blade is bleeding. Blade tries to convince Audrey to drive him to see a doctor in Pine Valley. Before she can answer, Jon knocks on the dressing room door, and Audrey scrambles to hide Blade. Larry tells Max that Megan is still non-responsive, but Max tries to get through to her. Larry brings in a neurologist to examine Megan. Gabrielle tells Max she's taking Al to Toronto to see a specialist. Max says there's a great specialist in Boston which is much closer, and they can leave in the morning. Gabrielle says they need to leave now, but Max is torn between his son and Megan. Clint paces the waiting room while Bo, Sarah, and Roger try to reassure him that Viki will pull through. Cord says he heard Viki is still in surgery. Roger blames himself, since he says the bullet was meant for him, but Clint says he can't think that way. Bo says he asked the writers to write Megan out of the show for a little while while she recovers. Larry comes in and announces Viki is out of surgery and will make a full recovery. Audrey tries to get rid of Jon, claiming she needs a rain check on their date because she has a headache, but he sees Blade's blood on the carpet and asks her what's really going on. Audrey convinces him it's just stage blood. Jon leaves and Audrey says she'll drive Blade to Pine Valley, but when she opens the dressing room door, Jon is still waiting outside with the police, who arrest Blade on the spot. In her recovery room, Viki remains unconscious, but while a nurse works nearby, seemingly oblivious, Gilbert (John Fiedler) enters the room. Viki sits up and asks him why he disappeared all those months ago, but he says she is the one who summoned him to Earth. He explains Gilbert died when Ursula beaned him with a flowerpot, but he's not Gilbert, he's Virgil. He reminds her of their trip together to heaven several years ago and says he can't return home until he helps her with whatever she summoned him for. Viki can't remember why she needed help, but she asks Virgil to take her back to the shooting to see if she can recall. He helps her see the shooting and realizes it's Megan who needs her help. The neurologist says there appears to be no permanent damage and confirms Megan is in shock. After hearing Al will be OK, Max tells Gabrielle he'll drive with her to Boston tonight. After the crowd outside Megan's room clears, Marco sneaks in to see her. He tells Megan she has to come to because he needs his pal Ruby Bright back. Megan finally responds and knows who Marco is, but when he assures her Viki will be fine, she has no idea who Viki is. Her last memory is in Atlantic City with him, because Megan now believes herself to be Ruby Bright. Written by Andrew Z Small See less
