While searching for a venue to play, soon he befriends bartender Melanie who's having a faint relationship with Mike, a young heroin addict. A slow marching anti-coming of age theme, where characters are wondering in perplexity and don't really go anywhere Black and white results appropriate: it merges the actors in an a-temporal space and enhances the individual personalities. The reality displayed it's a cut-out of a world of its own. The characters, live in a rummy everyday life, speak without truly communicating, they make you smile but they also leave you with a veil of bitterness. They are paradoxical, as indeed is the title given to the short, they move in closed spaces, apparently tied by a thread that joints them, they live their solitudes which they transmit with great intensity.
